Volunteer at In:Site 2019!

Be part of this year’s In:Site festival and join us as a volunteer!

We’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic individuals who are excited about craft and getting people involved in making. It’s a great oppotunity to work creatively with new graduates, supporting them and the public in creating contemporary craft installations.

Volunteers are an important part of In:Site and essential for the smooth running of the festival. You’ll be supporting the running of the event from set up to take down every day, helping the artist to complete their project, engaging with the public and keeping track of numbers. You can choose to be with us for the whole week, a day or even just a couple of mornings.

We’ve had a wonderul mix of volunteers support In:Site over the past few years, with many returning subsequent years as volunteers or in some cases as graduate artists!

Some feedback from last year’s volunteers:

“Throughout the whole week I enjoyed working at the festival as I was able to talk to the new graduates and experience making and taking part in the crafts as well as monitoring the public participation. It was a relaxed environment and I had a very fun week alongside the whole team. I was able to experience something new each day and it has been good to see how making is a massive influence on peoples lives.”

“Enjoyable, fulfilling, giving opportunity to meet new people.”

“A great opportunity to learn about new crafts and understand how the public engage in such events.”
