Volunteer at In:Site!

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us this September at In:Site. We really value our volunteers and try to make it the best experience for you. You’ll be supporting the running of the event from set up to take down every day, helping the artist to complete their project, engaging with the public and keeping track of numbers. You can choose to be with us for the whole week, a day or even just a couple of mornings.

Volunteers at In:Site have joined us from various backgrounds; through work placement opportunities, students or persons on career breaks looking for work experience as well as people who enjoy art, craft and meeting other people.

We’ve had a wonderul mix of volunteers support In:Site over the past few years, with many returning subsequent years as volunteers or in some cases as graduate artists!

Read feedback from previous volunteers’ experiences:

“Working with the team gave me an insight as per the title given to the event – into the world and life of graduate artists and the prospects that are opened up, if I so wish to follow upon this path. In comparison to previous volunteering events that I have been a part of, the Craftspace team was by far the most organised and helpful in terms of allocating roles, and time management. When new events open up I would readily apply for a volunteer position.”

“I will take away memories of lovely conversations with Craftspace staff and volunteers, flocks of pigeons flying overhead, afternoon sunshine in the trees, and unplanned philosophy session with some of the more reflective and passionate people who dropped by our tents for a chat and to join in with what we were doing.”

“It was great to meet new people and get my hands covered in ink but I have also learned a lot that will be helpful to me in my professional life, and I’m looking to sharing my experience with my team.”

One volunteer noted that what they valued the most from their experience was: “Getting to do something creative outdoors, learning new skills, and engaging with people you may never otherwise interact with.”
